Mayor & Council
Ludlow, Illinois incorprated on July 1, 1872, and operates under a Trustee-Village form of government with a Village President; both serve four year terms. The words Mayor and President are interchangeable. Trustees are elected at large rather than districts or wards.
To qualify for election to Trustee or President persons must be:
- A registered voter and a resident of Ludlow at least one year prior to election.
- Not be in arrears of any tax, fines, or other monies owed to the Village.
- And must not be convicted of any crime, perjury, bribery or felony.
The Mayor/President and the Trustees work together for the citizens of our community. As leaders, they are committed to protecting the Village of Ludlow assets through conservative fiscal spending and encouraging residents and businesses to become integral participants in our community.
